He provided Executive and Personal Protection to business leaders, athletes, and entertainers and their families for more than 20 years, retiring from tactical operations in 2012. He is a United States Marine Corps combat veteran. Greg is a Texas Personal Protection Officer with broad experience as a Detail Leader. He is experienced in the areas of planning, operations, logistics, and prevention and is qualified in “Tactical Emergency Medical Services.” Mr. Wayne holds a Bachelor's degree and is a former Texas Licensed Investigator providing risk and threat assessment. He has worked throughout the United States, establishing relationships with Protection Specialists and law enforcement leaders nationally as he designed and implemented security plans for both public and private events.
Mr. Wayne and his team provided protection for multiple “Reductions in Force”, protected infrastructure technicians and other workers during recovery operations following natural disasters. He has also mitigated attempted hostile takeovers of a public corporation, protected corporate executives and their families from social-issues activists, dealt with domestic violence situations, and accompanied corporate engineers carrying sensitive business documents and classified, proprietary information.
Besides his own wealth of personal experience, he brings an ability to select and direct the right mix of Protective Officers for each specific mission. His expertise and experience assure us that each protective detail will be staffed with officers and support personnel best suited to meet the objectives of each assignment.
As the Director of Emergency Management, Greg spent his last five years of service guiding a Houston hospital in the development of a comprehensive, multi-faceted Emergency Operations Plan, and its equipping, staffing, and implementation. Greg has been a frequent participant in development courses at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, AL. He is considered a knowledgeable source for adaptation of details for the National Incident Management System as governed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
As an emergency manager, he was a member of the Incident Management Team for BCFS HHS Emergency Management Division (now National Emergency Management Response) operating from remote locations in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. From 2014 to 2021, he and other team members directed the safe and secure handling and welfare of unaccompanied minor aliens crossing the border from Mexico. In 2020 and 2021, he managed the logistical details for medical care teams at the New Orleans Superdome and other locations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Greg is a FEMA-certified contractor serving in the management of disaster recovery team operations across the United States. He has served in response and recovery operations for eight named hurricanes producing significant impact, “riding out” two of them (Ike and Milton). He has also served on the Team Rubicon Command and General Staff in many disaster response and recovery operations.
Now enjoying retirement in Arizona, as a personal ministry, Greg still provides consulting services for churches and Christian Schools in the areas of safety, security, medical response planning, training, and execution. Greg can also be called upon to consult on matters of executive protection, security, and emergency preparedness training, plan design and management, and on-site direction of short-term operations in those fields. In his personal time, he enjoys his family, reading, church involvement and personal ministry, traveling, and physical fitness.
